This is my LazBlinds Vinyl Mini Blinds review. These blinds do not require drilling to install. At the top is a spring loaded tension that allows you to slide the blinds into place, and then simply tighten the tension arm to secure the blinds in place. These blinds are very easy to use – you can watch my install video below.

What’s Included in the Box

You can watch my video review above to see what you get out of the box.

Out of the box you get, obviously, the mini blinds. But you also get a wrench to help tighten the tension arm, an optional bottom brackets and screws (I’ll discuss this later), the instruction manual, and the adjustment wand.

How to Install

You do not need to drill anything to install these. It’s extremely easy, took me like a total of 2 minutes to install. I would suggest watching my video review at the top of the page where I demonstrate install.

At the top of the blinds is the tension arm. It is spring-loaded from both ends and the ends have the anti-slip end caps.

You just push in on those tension arms and slide the blinds into place. Then, once in place, you take that wrench that came with it and you tighten the nuts on the tension arms which forces that tension arm tight so the blinds stay in place.

Then you take the covers and slide them over to hide those tension arms. Then you just attach the adjustment wand. These are cordless, so you just use your hands to raise and lower them.

Optional Bottom Bracket Installation

Now, there is that optional bottom bracket. This would require basic screwing to install. You just attach it to the bottom of your window frame.

The point of this bracket is you can clip the bottom of the shades to this bracket on both ends to keep the bottom of the shades in place. Again, this is optional, and I chose not to install it.

Light Filtering

These vinyl mini blinds are light filtering. In the video at the top of the page, I tried to give you a before and after view to show just how much light is filtered by these blinds.

Window Frame Depth

The one thing you absolutely must consider is the depth of your window frame.

You will need a flat window frame with a frame depth of greater than or equal to 1.18 inches. So just make sure your window frame is deep enough to handle these shades.

Customization and Cordless Design

Each blind is custom-cut to your exact window size, so it’s important to provide precise measurements to avoid issues.

The blinds also feature a cordless design, offering a clean, tangle-free look while creating a safer environment. They are easy to raise or lower by hand, allowing you to gently filter sunlight and control light in your space.
