This is my LazBlinds Cellular Shades review. These shades do not require drilling to install. At the top is a spring loaded tension that allows you to slide the shades into place, and then simply tighten the tension arm to secure the shades in place. These shades are very easy to use – you can watch my install video below.

LazBlinds Cellular Shades Review
Extremely Easy Installation
LazBlinds shades are so easy to use that you won’t even need tools to install them. Out of the box, here’s what you get:
- A wrench to tighten the tension arm
- A pull clip
- Instructions
- The shades
You do not need to drill anything to install these shades. The process is extremely easy and took me a total of two minutes to complete. I demonstrate install in my review video at the top of the page.
Here’s how it works:
- Positioning the Tension Arm: At the top of the blinds is the tension arm. It is spring-loaded from both ends, and the ends have anti-slip caps. Make sure the anti-slip caps are securely attached. Then, push in on those tension arms and slide the blinds into place.
- Tightening the Tension Arm: Once the blinds are in place, take the included wrench and tighten the nuts on the tension arms. This forces the tension arm tight so the blinds stay in place.
- Hiding the Tension Arms: After tightening, take the covers and slide them over to hide the tension arms.
That’s it. These blinds are incredibly easy to install and do not require any drilling.
Blackout and Cordless
I ordered the blackout version, and I think they do a very good job at holding out the light. In my review video at the top of the page I tried to show on screen how well they hold out light.
These blinds also feel quite sturdy and do not feel flimsy, which is a nice feature.
Since these are cordless shades, you just use your hands to lift and lower them. They also come with a pull clip that you can clip to the bottom of the shades for convenience.
Customizable Ordering
There’s one absolutely crucial thing you must consider before ordering these shades. You will need a flat window frame with a depth of greater than or equal to 1 and ⅕ inches.
Make sure your window frame is deep enough to handle these shades before buying.
LazBlinds makes ordering worry-free. You just provide the needed measurements and they make custom sized shades.
