This is my Silonn Ice Maker Review. I love my Silonn Ice Maker because it has removed the need to store huge bags of ice in the freezer. I’ve seen some people mention noise, but I was actually shocked at how quiet this ice maker is. The noise level is like the equivalent of a fan on low setting. I was very pleased.

How this Silonn Ice Cube Maker Works

This Silonn Tabletop Ice Cube Maker is straightforward to use. You add water to the reservoir, press the power button, and then choose the size of ice you want.

The machine allows you to select between two sizes of ice cubes. I demonstrated the difference in ice cube sizes in my review video at the top of the page.

Once you choose the size, the machine begins making ice. In my review video, I also showed how the machine works—when it finishes a batch of ice, it dumps the batch and pushes it forward before starting the next batch.

The first batch of ice is done in about six minutes, so you get ice fast. When the ice tray is full, the machine stops until you clear the tray. It’s incredibly simple to operate, making it perfect even for people who don’t like dealing with gadgets.

Why I Bought This Ice Maker

I bought this ice maker because I was getting really tired of dealing with bags of ice taking up a bunch of space in the freezer. Trying to fit those bulky bags into the freezer was frustrating, and we constantly felt like there was no freezer space.

With this tabletop ice cube maker, I no longer need to store a bunch of ice. When friends come over, I just pull this out to make ice quickly.

It has completely removed the hassle of constantly buying and storing bags of ice. Plus, it’s so compact that it fits perfectly on the countertop without taking up too much room.

Noise Level

In terms of noise, I don’t think it’s bad at all.

To me, the sound is equivalent to a low setting on a fan. It’s very quiet overall and not disruptive in the kitchen. This is ideal for families who want to run it while enjoying a conversation or watching TV.

Ice Storage

Here’s what you must consider. This ice maker isn’t designed to keep the ice frozen once the ice is made. If you don’t use the ice fairly quickly, yes, it will start to melt. To me, this isn’t a big deal because we make it and use it almost immediately when friends come over.

The point is, don’t think of it like you will make the ice and then it will remain frozen all day long. If you want to store the ice, you will need to transfer it to a freezer.

Or, of course, if it begins to melt, you can just run the ice machine again to make more. It’s really just about timing your use to get the most out of it.
