  • My FavoriteThis is my favorite soda can lid after testing three of the most popular options to see which one worked the best (paid affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com).

Not only is this device simple to use, it created a tight seal that not only held in fizz, but also prevented leaking and spilling when I turned the can upside down. The other two options were good, but did have some faults. Let’s take a look.

What You Need to Know

  • Smarter-Seal Lids – This was my clear favorite. It seals very tight and holds fizz and does not leak. I saw user review complaints that it was hard to open and close. For me, that wasn’t much of an issue at all. Yes, it might have been slightly harder to open and close than the other two, but the trade-off was a tighter, more dependable seal. • Smart House Can Covers – This can cover is shaped like the top of a bottle. It is a good option for those who prefer to drink from a bottle opening. It held fizz overnight, but it did spill when I turned the can upside down (so don’t think of this option as spill-proof). • Beverage Buddee Can Covers – This can cover snaps into place and has a flip-top lid. The seal around the rim of the can is tight and does not leak, but the flip-top will leak slightly when the can is tipped upside down (which means it prevents major spills but will still leak). This leak also means it didn’t hold fizz as well as my favorite option above (the Smarter-Seal Lids).
