Video of Me Using This Jar Lid Opener
Installing and using this jar lid opener is very easy. In the short video below I show how I installed this jar lid opener in my pantry (and how I use it):
This is a quick video of me installing and testing this jar lid opener.
Is this product easy to use?
Yes, this jar lid opener is very easy to use. You simple position the lid into the teeth of the device, and twist.
I opted for this mounted jar lid opener over other competitors that attach to the lid itself. The main reason I chose this opener is I preferred something that I could mount in one place (instead of having a device I could constantly misplace).
What’s my verdict?
Overall, this lid opener is a great option for those who consistently struggle with jar lids. The V-grip design means you can use this device to open lids of all sizes.
Mounting it means no storage space is required. However, it does mean you need a good place to install it.
I personally chose my pantry because I didn’t want it installed under a kitchen cabinet. This is something you will have to consider prior to purchase: do you have a good spot to install this device?
There are a few potential drawbacks to consider. First, to provide grip, the teeth on this device are sharp. This increases risk of injury and may be something to consider especially if you have young children around.
Second, although the twisting process is easy, it still does take a twist to open the jar. If you suffer from severe hand or arm ailments, an electric opener may be the better option.
And third, the sharp teeth can scratch and damage lids. If you want to keep lids in mint condition, there will be better options.
Overall, I think this jar opener is a great option for those looking for something simple to install that takes much of the struggle out of the process.
