Video of Me Using This DASH Rapid Egg Cooker

This egg cooker makes it much easier to consistently get good results when cooking hard-boiled eggs. You do need to pierce the egg prior to cooking (and add the appropriate amount of water).

In the video below I demonstrate how to use this DASH Rapid Egg Cooker to make hard-boiled eggs.

This is a quick video of me using and testing this egg cooker.

What You Need to Know

Here is what you need to know about using this egg cooker:

  • Piercing the Egg – This DASH Rapid Egg Cooker comes with a 2-in-1 device that is both a water measuring device and also has a small pin that comes out of the bottom that allows you to punch a tiny hole in the wide side of each egg. Piercing a hole in the egg allows steam to escape, preventing the egg from cracking and ensuring even cooking.
  • Add Water – Once you pierce your eggs and load them into the cooker (pierced side up), you then fill the included water cup to the appropriate fill line based on the amount of eggs you are cooking. Then you pour the water directly underneath the eggs onto the heating plate.
  • Cook Time – Once you’ve added the water, you then place the lid onto the cooker, and hit the start button and let the cooker do its job. My rapid egg cooker cooked six eggs in about 15 minutes.
  • Cold Water – The DASH Rapid Egg Cooker will alert you with sound once finished. It’s best to then transfer the cooked eggs to cold water to stop the cooking process.

This is a great device that really simplifies cooking hard boiled eggs. It takes the guessing out of it. And you can use this cooker to make a wide variety of eggs.

Perhaps the only drawback that I have noticed is even though the parts do not get dirty, the steam cooking process does cause the egg rack to smell a little “eggy”, so even though the parts look like they could be simply rinse cleaned, I still give them a good soap soak.
