Grilled cheese sandwiches are a fun snack for the kids, but sometimes you just don’t feel like dragging out a pan and firing up the stove. That’s the problem this toaster device solves. You simply load the grilled cheese into this toaster press and insert it into the toaster and the let the toaster do the cooking.

This device is very easy to use. As I will explain later in the article, I like to toast mine twice to make it extra crispy.

This device fits with *most* standard toasters – the body of this toaster press is specifically designed to work with industry standard toasters. Let’s take a closer look at this grilled cheese toaster device.

Video of Me Using This Grilled Cheese Toaster Device

In the video below I demonstrate how to use this Revolution Toastie Press. Revolution also makes premium toasters, but you do *not* need one of those premium toasters to use this device. It is designed to work with standard toasters.

What You Need to Know

Here is what you need to know about using this toastie press:

  • Prep – Use any standard grilled cheese recipe of your choice. Place the buttered side of the bread facing the outside of the toastie press. Place the cheese on the inside of the bread, then clamp the toastie press shut (see video above).
  • How I Toast It – Every toaster is different. For me, I use one of my higher cook times and I toast mine twice because I like it crispy. This will probably be the part of the process you will need to play with to see what works right for you. Might be best to start with medium cook time and adjust from there.
  • Other Sandwiches – The Revolution Toastie Press is commonly used for making sandwiches and quesadillas. Paninis, ham and cheese sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, tuna melts, toasted PB&J, and quesadillas are some options to consider.
  • Easy to Clean – This device has a non-stick coating and is dishwasher safe and very easy to clean.

It’s advertised as working with “all standard toasters”. So that means it will *likely* fit your toaster. It might not hurt to measure (the body of this device measures at 5″ x 1″).

Although it is advertised as working with “all standard toasters”, I did notice that the quick start guide that comes with this Revolution Toastie Press says you do need to make sure your toaster is a UL certified toaster.

The main takeaway is you can expect most standard toasters to work with this device. I had no issues at all. I also reviews a toaster made for sandwiches if you want to check it out.
